As an artist, I have found a way to build upon years of study - to explore new techniques and new ways of expression. I use these ideas to create a “flowing together” of abstract and realism – trying for a warmth that is unique to the often harshness of contemporary abstract paintings. Each painting that I do is a separate exploration of design and color that is created with inspiration that I get from my previous paintings. I then expand those ideas with the pleasure I have of dealing with paint. In addition to a traditional way of painting, I also use collage, printmaking techniques, and pouring paint thru filters to create unusual forms and texture. I have traveled a long artistic path which has included decades of exhibitions and many awards. In addition to my participation in many juried shows, I have had several one-person shows and have exhibited widely in New Jersey and Florida.
