Using an award winning painting as a guide, this workshop will use preliminary wet-in-wet that will be refined by both wet-in-dry and lifting. Then the participants will create a center of interest using glazing. These techniques can be used to create both loose and more controlled paintings which will be demonstrated during the workshop.
In this workshop you’ll learn realistic watercolor painting techniques for painting the eye, nose, mouth, and ear. We’ll practice basic underpainting skills, as well as highlight and cast shadow theories which lead to dramatic paintings. We will cover also how to mix colors in order to create a vast range of lifelike skin tones.
Watercolor & Acrylic Inks
One day workshop celebrating flowers abundant & rich colors. Linda will share how to apply shapes & colors with Watercolors and Acrylic inks to produce airy & delicate soft edged petals that will give your paintings a personal and creative finish.
Have fun with watercolor napkin collage art. Bring your favorite napkins and I’ll bring some too and we’ll make a collage with many textures and techniques on a 12×12, cradle canvas. This will give you ideas and techniques for your other works as well. Come join the fun!”
